Big Questions

Apologetics Series beginning 17 May

As we focused on the theme of Ready Set Go for 2020, there was a strong desire to keep equipping our people to:

“always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect”

1 Peter 3:15

In our thinking, a series that focused on equipping people to talk about Jesus flowed well after the Prepare the Way series that focused on the life of Jesus. With the upheaval of the last few months with COVID-19, the openness to spiritual matters, and a willingness for people to question the current approach to life, the series does link nicely into what seems to be happening within our wider communities.

Initially Hope Presbyterian would have been hosting the Confident Christianity Conference in May 2020. COVID-19 has meant this is now online and we would encourage you to take the opportunity to connect with that conference. We also pray that the Spirit of God is moving to strengthen us in our faith, to embolden us to speak about Jesus, and to be confident in the hope and freedom that we know is available in God.

With these things in mind, we head into a 6 week series where we wrestle with the ‘Big Questions.” The topics have been chosen with the following things in mind:

What areas have been included and covered in a wide range of literature.

What topics need addressing for our people at Hope.

What questions seem to be popping up within the wider community.

What topics were we not able to address in our last series.

Please join with us as we ask God to grow us during this series.
